Bright Nickel Brassware
The authentic choice for the traditional bathroom
Shiny chrome taps might be the obvious choice for a modern bathroom, but its worth
considering a bright nickel finish for a traditional period bathroom.
Up until chrome plating was introduced in the 1920’s, bright nickel was the standard finish for
bathroom taps, and as such the authentic brassware choice for bathrooms in period properties
The softer shine typical of bright nickel is easier on the eye than the harsh
bluey shine seen on a modern chome tap. This richer finish complements the more decorative
features found in traditional bathrooms.
The St James Collection have recently introduced black porcelain lever handles into their
brassware range and these provide the perfect companion to bright nickel brassware,
adding a sophisticated touch to the traditional bathroom
